Homogeneous tiles lately trend in Singapore?

Have you ever notice, out of 10 houses you visits and most of its are homogeneous tiles flooring. Why so, have you ask this question or is just cheap and easily affordable.

Recent years, homogeneous have increase in popularity and Ceramic floor tiles had slowly face out. To what I see ,Basically the cost of laying homogeneous tiles compare  to Ceramic tiles having not much differ, that why, you can see an increase in homogeneous tiles everywhere.

If you happen to visit any tiles suppliers showroom in Singapore, you can easily find homogeneous tiles on their display shelves. At least, more then 10  differ titles homogeneous tiles on the display shelves.

Porcelain (homogeneous) tiles are ceramic tiles with a water absorption rate of less than 0.5 percent that are used to cover floors and walls. They can either be unglazed or glazed.

The hardness of the tile is rated from zero to five according to the Porcelain Enamel Institute scale. This rating, called the PEI rating determines the tiles suitability for various surfaces a rating of zero indicating a tile not suitable for use on walls.
