Design  by Duco Phangsoa

I have a back ground in architecture, Started out working for architecture and interior design firm – Then move to a better and more exciting job working as Exhibit designer, I start making product for client when they wanted special pieces off art -one day I stumble on a box full off Swarovski chandelier crystals – I started making flower shape – putting flower on metal (hot glue)- When client ask for new design – I start to studies jewellery making to make new design- caving model – plating finish – glue + crystals=glass. So on.

One day a client ask me to make a decorative iron metal vine (flowers) for her window – I design it and sent out to build- when it was finish- it was too heavy for the window- we have to breakdown the drywall to put on support. Next day I figure out how to make organic shape out off tube-to make it less heavy. After that- I have to spend the next few months figure out how to chrome plate the close contact metal in the design.

This has taken me about 3 years to figure out how to make it work – Is fun making them – is like looking at beauty knowing it can last forever.
