Product details

LG HI-MACS is designed for use in residential and commercial applications and is now the horizontal and vertical surface material of choice for installers, fabricators, architects, designers and specifiers.

Resistant

LG HI-MACS is engineered to meet the demands of a multitude of commercial and residential applications.

  • Performs well in drop ball impact tests
  • Resists most chemical exposure
  • High UV resistance and colour fastness.
  • Water, dirt and moisture resistant

Hygienic

LG HI-MACS Natural Acrylic Stone is a non-toxic material and has no surface-acting agents – even over prolonged exposure.

  • Non- and seamless joins for optimum hygiene.
  • Available in specially treated antibacterial grades for specialised installations.

Translucent

The Translucent properties of LG HI-MACS open up new possibilities for designers and architects:

  • Lighting
  • Shop signs and displays
  • Design objects

Homogenous

LG HI-MACS maintains the same consistency throughout the thickness of the material. Inconspicuous seams ensure that even complex installations appear as a solid whole.

  • Solid
  • Seamless finish for a one-piece look
  • Wear and tear can be rubbed away
  • Damaged sections can be replaced inconspicuously.

Long lasting

  • Normal cleaning requires water, a drop of washing-up liquid and a paper towel
  • Persistent stains can be rubbed out using, Ajax or Jif etc.
  • Scratches can be rubbed away with a Scotch Brite pad or fine sanding paper.
  • More extensively damaged sections can be replaced inconspicuously.

Easy to fabricate

LG HI-MACS can be fabricated with standard joinery machines and tools, enabling complex layouts to be fabricated with ease.

  • Inlays
  • Routed drain boards
  • Coved backsplashes

Thermoformability

Preheating turns LG HI-MACS into a material that can be bent into virtually any shape and cooled without any loss of performance.

    useful information

  2. kathy shapiro says:

This is absolutely the WORST PRODUCT I have ever had as a countertop. It lost it’s shine within 2 months, it is constantly marking from “anything” you place on it, and it is not heat resistant. I paid a large amount of money for it at LOWE’S in Canton, Ohio and THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIS PRODUCT…. I will never buy anything from LG or LOWE’s ever, and I HOPE YOU DO NOT EITHER…
