I must admit, it’s impossible to description what the designer though ,i going to quote from the Designer :-
“nar” means “pomegranate” in turkish. Pomegranate is a fruit that holds hundreds of juicy seeds inside. It’s a fruit that symbolizes fertility. Nar coffee table carries books and books carry ideas. Ideas can be distructive as much as they can be constructive. Our aim was to emphasize the danger and the dilemma it holds with utter nakedness.

I wonder if the designer’s thoughts came before the table was designed or after the piece was put together. Either way, it’s a lovely piece of furniture for a contemporary home. Very creative and eye catching indeed!
