Hello folks,
I wanted to discuss about what is 100% perfect and good service again. Before i go further i must admit i not perfect and i human and i do make mistake.You can provide all the 100 times of good service to the owner but when 1 issue (bad service) occurs you normally will be condemn by the owner. The sum does not ADD up. I must says this is the real world and the real world are cruel. I always tell my colleagues people will always remember all the bad experience and bad service and how many a person will mention about how good service the person provide. People always believe that by default it is a must to provide super perfect service. No mistake should be make and if you make a mistake it is define as bad service.
I personally believe GOOD service is that when a issue or problem occur we must try our best to settle it and not to avoid it.
I recieve a email from my customer and compliant about the outstanding defect works
“when are you going to finish the work?”
My side of the story.
The flat renovation finish on the end of Nov 2008 and there are some outstanding works/defect need to be done. i grateful and appreciate with the owner that he pay us the full payment.
The defect works were amount there :-
Touch up of the paint
tiles grouting to be fill up.
installation of a mirror ( f.o.c) or maybe more
The owner told me that his family and he will be about for holiday for 2 weeks or so and he only allow us to be back to settle the defects on the third weeks. So the jobs were arrange to settle on a Saturday 3 to 5pm. The workers didn’t arrive at 3pm on the dot. I call him over the phone and he never answer any of my call on that day. And i had to ask all my workers to go back.
To my surprise i receive a sms from the owner on Sunday 6.00pm telling he left when i called. So i still do not understand why it take he 1 day later to sms this. After receiving the sms, i immediately call him few times and he never pick up my calls again i sms him ask him to pick up the call or call me back and also never reply.
How to get the job done if he do not want to answers any of my calls. And the email say i did not follow up with and say a lots of mean words in the email. I reply his email and last night i try to call him over the phone again and again no answer.
I wonder what he wanted ? i thinks he is not mature enough.
Anyway this is my point of view.
