		<description>Hi Julian, thanks for the post! To answer your question regarding using wooden flooring... this is a very common choice of floor covering here in Ireland! Although you are right, it is less common to use it in kitchen areas - mainly because of the risk of flooding from a dishwasher or sink which of course would be disasterous to a wood floor. However if you make sure the plunbing has been carried out by a trustworthy source who is aware that the flooring will be wood the chances of a leak are slim... so if you can handle taking a small risk I really think it looks great and feels great underfoot, especially if you have underfloor heating!
