The other day i was talking to a carpenter friend of mine during dinner. He told me a story happen not long ago with a owner regarding about owner having too high expectation Do you understand when you decided to go to direct factory to get your carpentry done and what kind of service they are providing. In the first place, definitely you can get a cheap price compare you get an interior design firm to do carpentry work. Most carpentry workshop do not employ designer and carpenters they themselves is the so call in house designer. So please they do not provide 3D perspective drawing nor give material consultation.
When you pay a price are you over expecting service?
When you look for direct factory to do your job normally you need to has knowledge about what is the design and finishing you want. They are people better off taking instruction then providing ideas and design. They will do a good job if you provide all the necessary information to them.
Like i says, the different between an interior designer and carpentry is the way they thinks. Normally, an interior designer will look into the owner need and design the layout according but on the other hand carpenter will look at how to get the job done the most easy way. This is what i realize after experience working with them. Never expect a technician to do an engineer job as the same go with never expect a carpenter to think like a designer.
