Past few days i receive a email from Alvin , my student . a bathroom design photo and draw and render. I notice that the picture lighting setting is wrong some way so i ask he to send the working file.

After taking a look on the setting and  I adjusted the texture size of the tiles and replace some of the bathroom accessories.  The lighting condition is set wronging . I adjusted the emissive  of the wall lamp to lower and set the shutter speed slower to capture more natural.

I also  adjusted the  glossiness and highlight of the laminate texture giving a more realistic feel.

How to design your bathroom and  how to make your bathroom look beautiful?

In the first place, selecting  and deciding  the tiles for the bathroom is important and sometime my clients many hours  picking out the one they likes. Nowadays when you walk into a tiles shop it is totally different feel compare to last time.  Most tiles suppliers have mock up their tiles design into cubical  for the customers to view.

Tile ideas for the bathroom

Using different combination of design tiles to design the bathroom and you can have the same tiles creating different design for the bathroom. I use back the bathroom i draw but i put in vertical and horizontal  mosaic stripe to create a new look for the bathroom design. You can create more design by using the same mosaic and you can have a totally new look for the bathroom.

A small bathroom design with vanity and custom mirror cabinet for storage. I realize that nowadays many people wanted a more beautiful  bathroom and would like to have a vanity to go with the bathroom design.

They wanted to see how  their bathroom look before the renovation . Tiles design is part of the bathroom design and it play an important role in designing the bathroom.

Here is a typical bathroom layout for a HDB flat , L shape shower screen and a glass vanity.

As you can see from the photo.  You probably notice the L shape stripes wall tiles design. A   simple mix of white and black tiles vertical stripes design on 2 side of the wall, Vertical stripes add the illusion of height to the bathroom. Stripes can be personalized to suit several design aesthetics be it big and bold stripes or narrow and thin stripes.  Making a statement !

Here are 2 pictures I drew for a typical HDB 4 room flat toilet layout. Not much of design to discuss about and is just that the owner wanted to take a look at the toilet layout.  HDB toilet mostly come with the size of 2500mmx 1500mm or 25oommx1800mm. Unfortunately  some of the toilet door is designed at the wrong location making difficult it to have a shower screen fitted  for the toilet.

Just finish drawing the attach bathroom design with vanity cabinet. As you can see it is a relatively small bathroom, the size of the bathroom is about 2400mmx2600mm. For you info. it just like a standard size of a HDB flat bathroom. Normally, for small bathroom like this it is good to keep the design simple.

Here is 2 picture of a master bathroom design with vanity for 2 . This is huge bathroom with  lots of space . Making of 2 colours tone wall tiles for the design of the walls as you can see from the pictures. A simply vanity cabinet  for 2 persons and a suspended wall hung cabinet on the other side of the wall.

My ideas of a bathroom design for modern lifestyle :- Take a quick look at this bathroom layout  and imagine if you have space to design your bathroom. This is something i would want for a modern bathroom design it  must consist of  a vanity for 2 and a jacuzzi for me to relax after a long day work and a separate shower area and a individual detach toilet.   Many bathroom are not big enough space to plan for a separate  toilet as you see in the plan.

I received an email with some pictures of a small space bathroom design yesterday. I was delighted and happy to have it post up.

Simple small space bathroom design. Let take a look at the bathroom design. White is also my favorite color and I love to use white as the primary color  against any secondary color for design.

The designer  make use of glossy white tiles for the bathroom wall as to reflect more light and visually to make it  look bigger. Not to mention, the use of horizontal  mirror feature along the vanity is a good way to decorate a wall and at the same time it can be use to look into mirror tidy yourself.   The suspended water closet  look more elegant mounted against the black glossy wall tiles.

Here is something i would like to share with you. A wall mounted  glass sink basin which i like it very much . Simple and beautiful. As a interior design it is common to  ask to plan for the bathroom design and the layout. Normally it depend a lots on the size of the bathroom. If you got a big bathroom it is much more easy to design and plan the layout of the bathroom. You can have everything you ask for like a bathtub with a shower area and a 2 bowl basin vanity in the bathroom. A wall mounted glass bowl basin with some bathroom accessories  is just nice if you got a small bathroom not to cluster the bathroom with everything.
