More ideas for your kitchen cabinet design. I was at the bayshore condo and i notice how small the kitchen cabinet i took the liberty to take down the measure and and design the kitchen cabinet. I was think when you purchase a condo what actually you gain 2 small bedroom and a small kitchen but it come with a public swimming pool within the compound.

Anyway, Here is something i drew, A L shape kitchen cabinets on both side of the walls. Next time when you plan you kitchen layout and design your own kitchen cabinet remember not to buy a huge fridge !

I have been in this trade for many year and i seem so many floor plan and most of its are very similar. It not always about designing a fantastic kitchen cabinet and what the home owner want but it just about showing how the kitchen design suppose to look like. Alvin send me an email some kitchen cabinet design he drew and ask me to take a look at the picture and wanted me to comment on the picture. He is the one of the most hardworking person i ever know. I still remember not long when i started teaching him sketch up and V ray that was not very long ago and now you can see he can produce 3D photo realistic interior design drawing.

Sometime is not what you want to design for the house owner and is the owner already decided what they want. Here are 2 kitchen cabinet layout i help my student to draw. In my opinion I do not really like the design of the layout for the first picture and i believe i can design something better for the owner if the owner give us the freedom to design for them.

From the second picture as you can see the kitchen layout is extremely small and not much ideas you can or change you can do on the kitchen cabinet design. A simple L shape kitchen cabinet and the fridge at the end of the cabinet. I suggest use of lighten tone laminate for kitchen cabinet.

Nowadays, the new HDB flat come with small kitchen layout and you can’t really plan and design a nice kitchen as you want. I still remember the old 3 room flat having a long layout and kitchen cabinet can design with lot of storage !

This is First time ask to design kitchen design something like this. Unusual kitchen cabinet layout as you can see from the pictures. I Were surprise when the the owners of the house ask me to draw and show them the kitchen design layout in 3d perspective view. Reluctantly as i find it strange to have the sink and stove on the kitchen entrance and left hand side of the kitchen.

Kitchen design base on Feng shui

Being in the trade for so many year often we came across owners look for a Fengshui and ask us to design the house base on the Fengshui prescription. Probably you would ask me why the kitchen design layout is so unusual. They have engage a Fengshui master to take a look at the house and this is what the Master has ask to do with their kitchen design layout. The location of the sink and stove must be on the left side of the kitchen entrance as it bring in good fortune and harmony to the family.

As an interior design I were skeptical about how the design of the kitchen would turn out to be. Take a look at what i have design and draw it actually not too bad.

I have been very busy for the past few weeks. I remember mention to you about i giving lesson on sketch up 3D model drawing and basic V ray render. Here are some photos I help my student to render during the lesson. it was a typical HDB kitchen cabinet design. He pick up sketch up sometime back but never really master the software. I always like to use their project as part of the teaching example. It would be much more easy for them to understand and related to my teaching.

Step by Step i show him how to draw a kitchen cabinet by using some of the simple tools from sketch up and normally they were be amaze when i demonstrate how easy to draw a kitchen cabinet.

Sketch is for everybody and is so easy to pick up but I remember 2 years back I told my friends about sketch up can do wonder and it so easy to learn and till today both my friends whom started off together still unable to draw simple cabinet .

And Now i giving lesson on 3D model drawing ….. There are many 3d model software in the market and a lot of those software take time to learn and the learning path a too long and not easy to master. What I thinks is that software is a tools to assist you and should give you the leverage and not to tie you down on the learning curve.

Re-design the kitchen cabinet for more storage

I still remember when I have first discussion with the owners on the layout of the kitchen they insisted on having a bar counter or a breakfast table . Anyway, I put fingers to work and design the kitchen with a bar counter. After showing they says it too small and wanted more storage for the kitchen. They told me that I right and ask me to re draw a C shape kitchen cabinet.

Piano gloss laminate the new range EDL laminate series. I wanted to try on this group of laminate since it first launch. Here is 2 set of colour ( piano gloss green and gross black ) I propose for the kitchen cabinet.

Dry Kitchen design with island for a landed house

This is part of the interior design for a landed house and here is the dry kitchen design with a island counter at the basement and in front of the door is a lap pool. The island counter will double as a bar counter for drink after the swim in the pool. I keep the design of the cabinet simple and you notice it don’t have a hob at all.

Here are some pictures from the previous post. Do its look different and yes its do.

i re render and added some more components into the drawing . I’ve change the textures and the color of the kitchen cabinet. Previously, I render the kitchen cabinet into a single color” wooden grain laminate”. Now, I try using 2 different tone colors for the cabinet and I’ve change the upper cabinet doors into solid white color, aesthetically better looking with a modern chic feel . Using of Wooden grain laminate combine with mono color solid white with gloss finish will contrast well. White is a safe color to use and it always look good combining with other color. I just love using white color!
