A modern living ideas I design and drew using sketch up 8 . It is an amazing simple to use 3D software with a few simple tools allow you to create ideas of a house within your finger tip. Vray is a fantastic render engine plugin into sketch up .  With it combination you can do wonder with sketch up. Now doing presentation is much more easy.

Great to be back …:) Here is the  follow up from the previous  post of the interior design of a Executive  HDB apartment. I always love to design open concept kitchen so when the owner ask me to help him to design a open concept kitchen I was so delighted and a smile in my heart.

The owner do not cook often and he do not want to have to many cabinet . As you see from the design the only top and bottom cabinets are at the washing area which allow me to design a built in dish rack within the cabinet. This is not the best layout i ever see. You will notice that the window is right between the sink and the cooker. I try to design the cooker and the sink together at the beginning but the space is a bit too small and the washing machine have not place to go to…!

We just need to do the best to design the kitchen cabinet.

A integrated counter top was design with the thinking of having  light meal. Above the counter top is a set of open concept shelves cabinet is more for display then storage purpose.

This is the part 2 of the previous post.

The final product of the carpentry works and the finish of the renovation work. ot to mention  It not a full renovation we only renovation the living hall flooring and the false ceiling were re design. The previous owner have roman center panel and light holder with cornice trimming for the ceiling and the owner wanted a simple kind of design not too elaborate. We sat down and discuss and agreed with simple L box for the living hall and for the design for the hall. The owners fancy walnut color  and like very much to have their home furniture come with walnut color. Since the owners had already decided the color for the furniture i advise the owner to have walls painted with lighter contemporary earth tone color.

In feng shui it say that it good to have mirror feature at dining place  and the mirror must be big enough to reflect the whole dining set in the mirror . Base on some writing the mirror must have wooden trimming wrap around the it. It say that it can double your prosperity.
