Simple and interesting false ceiling design at kallang leisure mall.

Normally, you won’t take notice of the false ceiling design when loiters and walk around in a shopping mall.  I love to pay attention to detail of a particular design of building design or any interior design of a place be it shopping mall or pub . As i walk along the corridor of the shopping i realize that the false ceiling design is coincide with the floor design. The more i look at other designers, i realize that every designer got their own way of express their though into design.

The pictures is not very clear as i took from my hand phone camera. Here is some  interior design works for a condo and here you see is a   wall design i did 3 years  back.

the owner happen to call me and ask me for help to look at the kitchen sink problem. so i took this opportunity to take a picture of the wall feature. This wall feature design is construct both using gypsum board and carpentry.

The whole design is estimated 16ft run. Using both gypsum and carpentry ….

i make use of the whole wall for the wall feature design. Does it look great….. Most of the finishing is painted and the only tv console cabinet is laminated

Hello,

Maybe i’m getting lazy, do you realize that my drawing missing all the kitchen wares. Sorry about that….

It take up too much of my times as i do not spend all time  on my desk just doing drawing like my office designer do. I’m still need to go down to job site to supervise my project and not much time to do my drawing. Here is something i planned for a  HDB maisonette. The owner told me that he will be purchasing the common corridor and intend to hack down the utility room and the existing main door and bring the door forward  3 meter at the common corridor. I’m happy to hear that as i am able to PLAN AND design  A NICER KITCHEN  with a island serving counter cabinet for the kitchen.

hello everyone,

I should have written this article sooner and i sorry…….. been busy recently with some technical issues on my blog. Anyway back to our discussion. In the first place, let me apologize to Samantha and Tania for writing to me and let me have a chance to do something differ. They send me a copy of the Grand Design 1st episode and ask me to take a look at it. i finish viewing the show very much sooner when they send to me just that i didn’t make time to write about it.

In episode it feature, Ian and Sophie Cooper, a fashionable London couple, plan to restore a 200 years old industrial building in an area of the outstanding natural beauty.

I must say it is an eye opening for me and I did learn a lot of things from the show especially the part  they make use mammoth piling  to stabilizing which prevent their country idyll from sliding down.

Add color to your room

The Spinball series is a low coffee table seater. The Spinball uses a two tone color application. Colored cushions rest in the indented colored area. Spinball is also available in the all metal or copper finish. The base is finished in brown with the top painted to match the cushion color.You could use this stool with or without cushion. The series works in indoor or in outdoor environments.

Here is something i find from the internet. i just love the look and the feel of this seater and it can be use for all purpose be it for indoor or outdoor. When you plan for furnishing probably you can get a set for your living

when the first time i laid eye on the design maybe the colour caught my attention. Just for info Pink is not my favorite colour to be use for my interior design. But i like the feel of the whole setup. Over here  in the first picture make use of pink  finishing against  white backdrop to create a country cosy feel.

Good piece of advise is to avoid strong wall colour for children room. It is better to add colour by using variety of accessories, throws, cushion etc. There are many ways to decorate your child room.

What you want to do is to design your child room that are both fun and organized. Introduce a play area in the room for child and you can leave the toys in and organized box or open shelve that are used daily for easy to hand on. Using Wall sticker to update and look to differ season.

Here are some update on what magazine available in the market. I happen to went to Goodrich to pick some wall papers for my clients and they have come their own hard copy of  Regional Interior designer’s showcase magazine (1st edition).

I just browse through the book and lots of designer pictures and write up of the design. Hi,

A question for your QnA section.

Usually, how are full-height mirror walls with full mirror door (at the center) built so that the door totally ‘blends’ into the wall?

Looking at mine, it looks bad and inconsistent, due to the ‘gaps’ between the mirror wall and the door (for the household shelter). The carpenter used black ABS trimmings on the edge of the door so the ‘dark lines’ are rather obvious.

This seems like a challenging situation for anyone. Hope you can share some advise.

if you need to do the mirror door and with ABS trimming it best to use silver transparent ABS for finishing it look better and the other method people use is not to use  trimming at all but the problem with this when you open the door you can see gap in between when the workmanship no very good but it look better when you standing in front of the wall feature with mirror door. I like to use mirror and  colour glass together  into small pieces  create to form a pattern design  and at the same time the gap in between the door and the glass mirror feature can blends in better. This is just my though.
