Interior Home decor ideas

Whenever i enter people house and ask to be sited is my habit to look for the cushion or pillow to hug onto it ……… i felt that by adding soft finishing to the room will make the room more cozy and make people more closer to each other. And it definitely will bring more life to the  room, add a bit of sparks to the boring sofa.

Pillow come in many design and in differ shape and size . Here some pillow design by Graphic Designer erin flett.

I remember at one of friend’s house, they  have a cushion pillow shape like a heart on their couch …. it was so cheesy to me.

Soft finishing  is an important part of final product of the house and with a bit of effect and imagination you can transform your house in the dream home you wanted.

After spend sometime on the site i finally understand what is vita all about. It is a interesting concept about building shelves and cabinet. Each piece of shelve of cabinet can be use individual and able to combine to form awesome design. You can configure your own Vita composition by yourself, and evaluate the result by rotating the unit in any direction. look at how tv wall feature are form from using vita system anyone can become an interior designer with using Vita system

Vita is the result of a seven-letter language producing orderly sequences ruled by taste and functionality. The name comes from the translation into Italian of ‘game of Life’ -’Gioco della Vita’ – created by the mathematician John Conway late in the Sixties. This simulates development, decadence and variations in living organisms.

Modularity

Vita is a universal modular system made up of square modules with shelves and cabinets. It is for easy adjustment to space and easy change over years. Any particular combination of modules is the result of the interaction between the various needs of end-users and a virtual construction programme accessible from the web.

Why i wanted to post this articles from the home and decor mag is that i believe everyone need to be a part of eco friendly environment and help to save the green planet.  if we do’t take of the planet very soon we do not have place to live in.

Saw something interesting and wanted to post it up as soon as possible. Design by a Singaporean designers Nathan Yong. Who say Singapore do not has talent. This piece of unique and innovative piece of office stationary is really amazing. You can use it to decorate your desk or use it as a office stationary.

I always got my desk so messy when come to work and difficult to get it well organize.

You can’t get the desk messy anymore…….

No ideas to decorate your wall feel that your wall a bit too plain …..

Went down to Singapore Expo the other day to check out what they have for exhibition.It end this weekend at 05/09

In the first place how do you describe the chair if you were ask to …….

First Impression

The top part of the chair do it look like 2 pieces of tyres cut into half. Anyway it a awesome and unique piece of furniture to have in your house. The gray bibendum armchair was design by Eileen Gray in the early 1900s. Bibendum Chair was one of Grays innovative and believe  to be one of  the most   recognizable furniture design of the 20th century .

Yesterday, i read an articles from the News paper about people paying 100k above valuation  and the flat cost 700 + . The price of HDB flats have sky rocket and i thinks is ridiculous….very stupid for people paying for so high for a HDB flat. Or maybe he right for paying more for his dream home. Due to paying more cash for purchase a flat causing  less money for renovation.

What can yo do when you have less money and can’t do the renovation what you wanted.

Set priority… you must decided to fore go some of the renovation works.

Now, ask yourself what is important and what is a  must do now and what can do later. The most easy is not to do anything just have your house interior painted with a new coat of paints and buy furniture off the shelve and decorate you house. It would be a great saving to your pocket. But if you still needed to have some minor renovation to your house. for example the living and the bedroom tiles look old and unacceptable  i suggest that you choose overlaying with laminate flooring you can save some money from hacking..
Normally, if you ask me which is the place you need to renovation, my answer would be the toilet. I seem many houses and it always the toilets look the worst. To renovation 1 toilets probably cost you between 2.5k to 3.5k and it depend on the size of the toilet and the tiles you use.

if you wanted to have more saving i suggest you go for direct contractor if you do not mind the trouble to deal with them direct. You can check the newspaper or go online to check for this kind of contractors. If time no a problem for you, you can be at the house to coordinate work with the contractor this way you can save a lot.

Stumble upon this beautiful design sofa on the internet, the smooth and curvilinear design of the sofa caught my attention and make me want to find out more about this sofa. Many time i was ask to plan the interior layout and design some custom made carpentry work e.g  TV console, divider, design wall  feature and many more but without the soul of the soft furnishing “THE SOFA” . The design is cold and empty. Recently. I been busy helping my clients to look for a suitable sofa  for their home. The time is not wasted as i learn more about sofa then last time.

This question cross my mind many time as i ask myself which come  first. The design of the home or the decoration of the soft furnishing first. Or both come together.

I want to introduce  this famous Modernist architecture designer, Le Corbusier. he’s iconic famous design which is the use of tubular steel, LC 2 LC 3 LC4. which was then considered an industrial material . but clear line design were favored by many many designer. Ever, today many home decorator and interior designer like to use of this kind of furniture incorporate with  their design.

I pick up some interesting design from an magazine and thinking of share with you guy here. it is a magazine rack design by Nendo. The rack appears to be standing on one corner. The interesting about the design is that 3 compartment opening in 3 direction. The rack stand on an angle, allow the magazine to slide in and out and allow the magazines to stack nicely in order.
